Chairperson of the Committee Hanna Hopko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee Borys Tarasiuk and Viktor Vovk, and Chairperson of the subcommittee on Euro-Atlantic cooperation and Eurointegration of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Svitlana Zalishchuk represented the Ukrainian Party. The Georgian delegation was headed by the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Georgian Parliament Tedo Japaridze. Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration of the Georgian Parliament Victor Dolidze, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Zviad Kvachantiradze, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Defence and Security David Darchiashvili, and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia in Ukraine Mikheil Ukleba also participated in the meeting.    

Issues on importance of European prospects for Ukraine, the need for coordinating actions on implementing Euro-integrational aspirations of Ukraine and Gerogia in relations with the EU at bilateral and multilateral levels, exchange of experience on adapting national legislation to European standards, deepening cooperation and coordination within the PACE, OSCE, GUAM, BSEC, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.

Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Georgian Parliament stressed the importance of the delegation's visit to Ukraine and expressed hope that this visit will promote bilateral cooperation aimed at supporting and developing inter-parliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and Georgia. T.Japaridze informed all the present about the internal political situation in the country, expressed deep concern in connection with the use of force against peaceful citizens of Ukraine, condemned the annexation of the Autonomous Republic Crimea, and claimed that the Parliament of Georgia supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. 

Special attention was paid to development of cooperation at the level of committees on foreign affairs. In April, 2015, the Parties agreed to hold a joint meeting with members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on European Integration, and Committee on Defence and Security where significant topics should be discussed. These topics concern good neighbour relations, issues on regional security, coordination of efforts towards implementation of Association Agreements, and the issue on bilateral partnership and friendly relations.
